I am new to wordpress and the estore cart so I may be missing something, but here is my problem.
My products are digital download files used for Wilcom digitzing software. The format used for these is .esa, ie, curlz.esa When I try to upload the files using wordprss media uploader,I get message saying there is an error saving attatchment. I can upload them using control panel. I have done that, and tried to make a download now for free listing, and it send me the link, but link says download can not be completed.
I would think I could zip each file, but to be honest I dont want to do that, as they are very small, less than 150k each one, and I sell individually.
Not that you need to zip the files but the browser always handles a zip file better. You don’t have to have multiple files to zip it. You can just zip up each of those files individually. For example the file “product1.esa” goes into a zip folder called “product1.zip”. After your customer download this zip file they will just unzip it and get the “product1.esa” file. Does that make sense?
