I just started using PDF Stamper with eStore (I’ve been using eStore for years and love it). I can get the Stamper to stamp words and things like customer email on the pdf files, but unfortunately cannot get it to stamp the Transaction ID. It comes out blank.
Here is the footer text I am using (for testing): {transaction_id} {customer_email} Hello {transaction_id}
Everything gets stamped BUT the Transaction ID. I’d really like to just stamp the Transaction ID and nothing else as I don’t want my customers to have their personal details stamped on the files.
Any suggestions?
September 6, 2012 at 12:48 am #49020adminKeymasterWhat version of eStore and PDF Stamper are you using?
September 6, 2012 at 2:32 am #49021jaylatSpectatorEstore: Version v6.2.7
Stamper: Version 4.1.8

September 6, 2012 at 3:37 pm #49023jaylatSpectatorI received the updated version of PDF Stamper but not eStore. Unfortunately updating one and not the other makes eStore not work. I got the following error message when I tried to buy a file through eStore:
“The secure download manager ran into a problem that it couldn’t handle, and is unable to process your download request. Please contact the site administrator.
Please tell the site administrator the problem was due to the following reason:
The download script couldn’t locate the file associated with the digital product. If the administrator thinks this reason is in error, maybe a different URL conversion option might fix the problem.”
This message continued for every sale until I deactivated PDF Stamper and unchecked the PDF Stamper box on the digital product. I’m hoping this will go away once I get the updated eStore? (I asked again for an eStore update so we’ll see)
September 6, 2012 at 5:34 pm #49024wzpModeratorAre you able to manually stamp the file?
Also, did you purchase eStore using a different transaction ID?
September 6, 2012 at 7:34 pm #49025jaylatSpectatorYes, I can manually stamp the files. I will try it after I receive the eStore update.
September 7, 2012 at 2:43 pm #49026jaylatSpectatorI updated eStore (my bad – I used a different email address to buy it). Looks like PDF Stamper is working very nicely now.
Thanks again for your great support. You guys are the best!
September 7, 2012 at 2:46 pm #49027jaylatSpectatorOne thing – the thing that was causing the initial PDF Stamper error message was (in part) that the destination folder was not fully writeable. After I changed the permissions the error message went away.
So you might want to add that to your list of “Things to Check” on PDF Stamper.
