Hello,
I have no problem, but a question:
I installed your plugin wp-affiliate on my website: http://www.ma-redaction.com/commander/
and I would like to be sure that with the Paypal button I put, it will work and generate automatically a commission for my affiliates. I filled up settings correctly, with my token (i think that in France they call “numéro identifiant”), and everything.
Thank you to reassure me!
Regards,
Sophie

December 6, 2010 at 11:24 pm #27115wpCommerceModeratorJust create a test affiliate account and place an affiliate link (if you have already created a text link or banner) for that test affiliate on a page. Create another page where you need to put the PayPal button. Now follow the affiliate link from one page to the page with PayPal button. Do a test transaction to see if it’s actually awarding commission to the affiliate. If you don’t know how to integrate plain PayPal button with WP Affiliate Platform the following post will explain –
December 7, 2010 at 12:09 am #27116kodamaMemberHello,
I cant test a transaction, because I have only one paypal account. How could I pay from my account to my account?
But I will integrate the plain Paypal button, thanks.
December 7, 2010 at 12:18 am #27117kodamaMemberI think I missed something…What is a 3rd party cart plugin? I just created a paypal button on Paypal, is that it? Or should I add a other plugin for this?
December 7, 2010 at 12:50 am #27118kodamaMemberWell, I discover many things that I didn’t see before!
I feel completely lost, because I realised that I have to download a plugin like wp-ecommerce, what i did. But I didn’t find any function php file, there is only one file, wp-ecommerce.php…
Which plugin should I use?
Thank you for your help…
December 7, 2010 at 12:58 am #27119amin007ParticipantI am not sure why you are confusing yourself. You want to use a Plain PayPal button with the WP Affiliate platform plugin. You just have to follow one of the methods explained on this documentation:
Direct/Plain/Hosted PayPal Button and Affiliate Plugin Integration
Just do those steps and thats it. Where in that documentation does it tell you to get another plugin such as wp-ecommerce?
December 7, 2010 at 1:04 am #27120kodamaMemberWell I only did what it was said in the link:http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-affiliate/plain-paypal-button-and-affiliate-plugin-integration-168
and I let my button created on paypal website…Am I right? I just don’t know how to test a transaction.
December 7, 2010 at 3:36 am #27121amin007Participant“and I let my button created on paypal website…Am I right?” – Yes you are right. There is a facility to use PayPal sandbox to do test purchase and try it out but it might be a bit hard for you to setup if you don’t understand PayPal sandbox well. You could ask a family member or fried to make a test purchase using their account to test. After the test you can simply refund the money.
