I have read through the forum and found 3 posts about this, but all are at least a year old, and it looked like there have been updates to the way things are done. I’m a little confused as to whether I need to do a pass thru link or the satellite plugin, and where to acquire that plugin if needed. Here’s my setup.
I have the WP eStore and WP Affiliate plugins installed on my membership site. It is a sub-domain of my main site.

I want to have a blog post on my main site to promote a particular offer on the member site. [http://www.blogaid.net]
I tried this pass thru link just to test:
where services is a published page on my main site, and 25841 is my affiliate ID for testing.
It returned a 404 error page on the sub-domain site.
Appreciate help in getting this setup properly with the most current way of doing it.
Hi, Since you will be using different domains to sell/promote the same product, the following post is a good read for you:

The following post explains the pass thru affiliate link feature:
With that said, lets take a look at your setup… where do you expect your affiliates to send visitors to?
If you are simply sending visitor from your main domain to the membership site’s domain then there is no need to use any of these. You simply create a link like the following that points to your membership site’s landing page:
