Hi, Guys,
Sorry for the subject line, but I don’t know what else to write…
I’ve followed the video instructions – and first, it doesn’t protect the page. Then, I notice that there’s a whole thing one must do at the WP page edit level to select “protect page” (wasn’t in your video).
Once I do that, it tries to protect page – by going to login – except it says “Membership Payment/Join Page is not defined in the settings page. Please Contact Admin.” – with a link on the “admin” word, which, when clicked opens the mail client – but despite my setting up the e-mail information in setup, it doesn’t know the e-mail of the admin???
So, I go to the registration page manually, trying to get ANYTHING to work, and I do the registration process, and click the button – and I get:
Fatal error: Uncaught exception ‘Exception’ with message ‘Request id: 1is different from Response id: ‘ in /home/gemaster/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-eMember/lib/auto-responder/jsonRPCClient.php:168 Stack trace: #0 /home/gemaster/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-eMember/lib/auto-responder/jsonRPCClient.php(114): jsonRPCClient->checkForErrors(Array) #1 /home/gemaster/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-eMember/eMember_auto_responder_handler.php(67): jsonRPCClient->__call(‘get_campaigns’, Array) #2 /home/gemaster/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-eMember/eMember_auto_responder_handler.php(67): jsonRPCClient->get_campaigns(’08aa337f2d67a04…’, Array) #3 /home/gemaster/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-eMember/eMember_auto_responder_handler.php(128): eMember_getResponse_subscribe(‘acadmegsa’, ‘James’, ‘Johnson’, ‘abandon1@vindic…’) #4 /home/gemaster/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-eMember/eMember_misc_functions.php(441): eMember_global_autoresponder_signup(‘James’, ‘Johnson’, ‘abandon1@vindic…’) #5 [internal funct in /home/gemaster/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-eMember/lib/auto-responder/jsonRPCClient.php on line 168
So, I’m pretty much SNAFU, here – and I’m on a deadline for travel, and this is mission-critical to JUST WORK.
Please help???

2) It doesn’t look like you finished configuring the settings pages. After you install the plugin you need to configure the settings page before the plugin can start to work. It looks like you have left the “Membership Payment/Join Page” field from the “pages/forms settings” menu of eMember? You must specify a value there.
July 29, 2011 at 3:19 am #34798itshouldjustworkMemberHi, amin007, and thanks for the reply.
1) – I’m not sure I fully understand, but I am sure once it works I’ll get it.
2) – I did not have a value in that field, and did not know that one was required.
However, I installed a value to the field, following the instructions that:
“For the free membership signup (if you want to allow free membership) simply point them to the Registration page.”
And, when I attempted the registration process again, I got the same FATAL ERROR that I copied in the above post.
So, I’m blown-up for the deadline I was working on…
I would be willing to pay for a premium support walk-through install of this – and for the affiliate product, which I also bought.
Can we work something out for around August 5th?
So, far, I really like the eStore – no problems with it.
Please let me know if you’re amenable.
Otherwise, I’ll be back here then, bashing away on whatever the next suggestion is.
Thanks

http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/plugin-installation-setup
If you order that I will jump on your site and configure the plugin for you.
August 4, 2011 at 11:18 pm #34800itshouldjustworkMemberWill do that right now. Thanks.
