When an affiliate logs into their account and they look at their “Affiliate Stats Overview For This Month” on their Home page, they see the following:

    Total Clicks : 4

    Number of Sales : 1

Total Sales Amount : 14.99 USD

Total Commission Earned : 2.4 USD

    Commission Level : 20 %

The product that this affiliate sold was $12.00, plus $2.99 shipping…for a total of $14.99.

The Total Commission Earned was $2.40, which is 20% of $12.00…NOT 20% of $14.99.

When my affiliates look at their Total Sales Amount of $14.99 and they take 20% of that, they will think they should be getting $2.99 instead of $2.40.

Is there any way to make the Total Sales Amount reflect only the sale and not the shipping? If not, please help by suggesting a solution to this so that there won’t be any confusion and I won’t have my affiliates emailing me saying that they should be getting more money.

    Thank you!

Its a common thing in the affiliate world to not get commission on the shipping amount. All you have to do is inform them that the commission is given on the product amount only.

You can explain this to your affiliates by adding your custom message in the “WP Affiliate Platform Settings” -> “Index Page Message” field. This way your affiliates will know this even before they signup for it.
