Is it possible to deliver content on a drip basis with this plugin?
So no matter when they sign up there is always a month 1 info, month 2 info, month 3 etc
March 26, 2010 at 5:51 am #19115IvyMemberHi, This feature is currently not available with the eMember. However with that said this is being worked on as we speak. I can not give you an eta as our to do list is always changing but it should be coming soon.
Cheers,
Ivy
June 14, 2010 at 8:16 pm #19116TinkBDMemberHi guys –
Any news on the issue of Drip Content?
I am working with a client who needs Drip Content to delivered multiple classes. I have another membership plugin that will do this, but it limits her to 4 levels / classes at a time.
We will probably be using eStore for other aspects of her site, so it would be WONDERFUL to have it all integrated and not be limited by number of classes available at any one time…
I would rather use your plugin (blatant flattery and whining here….)

June 15, 2010 at 12:46 am #19117IvyMemberHi Tink, It’s already there but it’s more in the lines of auto upgrade. You can schedule the time when members will be automatically upgraded to the next level. Once the member has been auto upgraded then they will be able to see the content for the specified level.
Membership level example.
Membership level 1 – can see week one
Membership level 2 – can see week one and two
Membership level 3 – can see week one, two and three
As the member gets upgraded to level 2 and 3 as time passes he/she will be able to see the content of those levels.
I believe you just need an update
Did you get a chance to check out Amin’s new product? http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wp-pdf-stamper/
June 15, 2010 at 4:44 am #19118TinkBDMemberHi Ivy – Send it on! LOLOL
Let me ask for a quick clarification here… if I recall correctly, it is possible to have as many Membership types as you want?
So my client could have a membership type for each of her classes and then use a membership level for each type to drip the contents?
Took a quick look at the PDF stamper… looks pretty sweet! Good going, you guys! I am tired and headed for bed, but I didn’t see a price for the PDF stamper?

June 15, 2010 at 4:54 am #19119IvyMemberHi Tink, You are right you can have as many membership levels as you want you can also name them what you want.
Yes she would need a membership level for each class.
The PDF stamper is $34.95 It’s on the product page
I have sent you an email also
June 15, 2010 at 12:48 pm #19120TinkBDMemberHi Ivy –

June 15, 2010 at 1:19 pm #19121TinkBDMemberOk… Blonde here (but you already knew that ! LOL)
So, I have been looking around and I see stuff related to the Auto Upgrade feature, for instance, I see the Manage Content Protection options. (Very cool, btw)
I guess I need to know how to set up the membership levels…
Say I have a Paid Membership called Ornament Class. How would I set it up to drip new content every week for four weeks?
Thanks in advance !

June 16, 2010 at 2:15 am #19122IvyMemberHi Tink, I believe I will need to send you an update for the eMember. Once you have installed the update the “Auto Update” tab can be found in the “Members” section.
June 18, 2010 at 3:40 am #19123IMGIGClubMemberI was going to ask for the update that inclues the “auto upgrade” feature. But, it’s already there….
Just that the “auto upgrade” is in the “members” area, not the “levels” as I had expected.
Looking forward to getting this fully set up.
Thanks much!

June 18, 2010 at 3:56 am #19124IvyMemberHi Tim and Mike. I believe I sent you the latest version of the eMember this morning. Did you get this email? If not please let me know and I will get this update sent out to you. To find this option look in the “Members” section there is a tab at the top that says “Auto Update”.
June 18, 2010 at 4:55 am #19125IMGIGClubMemberYes, Ivy, I discovered that “auto upgrade” is on the members tab. And that was before I realized you’d replied here.
Another question: What if the first membership is set up with a PayPal subscription? When the person is auto upgraded, is the PayPal subscription information carried on?
What I’m worried about is….Joe signs up for Drip-Membership-HooRah. 30 days later a PayPal IPN arrives for membership Drip-Membership-HooRah, but Joe is now on Drip-Membership-HooRah-12 – and the IPN script can’t figure out what to do?
Or conversely, prior to that second payment the paypal subscription is cancelled. Does eMember know how to identify this multiply-upgraded membership to cancel it out?
I can imagine probably 10 related questions as well – related to member level configuration details (expires / never expires). Is there any chance you’ve done another excellent video to explain “configuring a Drip Membership tied to a PayPal Subscription” ?
June 19, 2010 at 1:53 am #19126amin007Participant@IMGIGClub, paypal IPN has got nothing to do with auto upgrade.
Auto upgrade works based on the time duration that the user stays a member of a particular membership level. This time duration is specified by the admin in the “Auto Upgrade” menu.
So for example, let’s say you have two membership levels:
1) Basic Membership
2) Premium Membership
Now let’s say you have set the auto upgrade so that a member who stays as a basic member for 15 days will get automatically upgraded to premium member.
Basic Membership -> Premium Membership = after 15 days
or
Premium Membership -> Ultimate Membership = after 30 days
So, when Joe signs up to the Basic membership and stays a member for 15 days he will automatically get upgraded to premium membership after 15 days.
Now in the meantime if joe has cancelled his membership subscription his account will be deactivated so no need to worry about auto upgrade there.
June 22, 2010 at 3:42 pm #19127IMGIGClubMemberOk, I’m a little confused.
If “auto upgrade” has nothing to do with IPN, does that means we cannot have a paid auto-upgrade (drip) membership? Are auto-upgrade memberships supported for paid members?
June 23, 2010 at 2:32 am #19128amin007ParticipantYou are not understanding how “Auto Upgrade” works.
What auto upgrade does is that it upgrades the member of any membership level to another membership level automatically in the background based on what you have scheduled (you as the admin can schedule and setup these upgrade paths).
Now, when a member joins a particular membership level (free or paid) his level will be automatically upgraded after so many days if you have specified it in the “Auto Upgrade” menu.
So, yes it works for any type of membership (free or paid) but it’s a background operation. Let me know if it makes sense.
