Thumbnails not displaying & other images appearing in lightbox

Hi folks, I’m wondering if you could help me with this issue. First, let me say that I am new to WordPress, web hosting etc so please do provide any replies in plain English

I have just purchased the e-store plug in to deliver downloadable content to my readers. The problems I’m having are:

1. I’m using the fancy 1 product display (though the same problem happens with fancy 2)…when I view the store page, the thumbnail is not displaying. I just get an x or what looks like the alt text

2. When I click on the thumbnail to open up the lightbox, I get the additional images for that product – but I also get images uploded for the other products too.

regarding problem 1 – I have the images hosted in my WP media folder which should be the same as the plugin. I have tried changing the size of the thumbnail, the file type, the location etc and checking/unchecking the smart thumbnail box (or whatever it’s called).

regarding problem 2 – I have double checked I have no additional images entered onto the relevant part of the form. All I have is the thumbnail link placed in the thumbnail part of the form.

Other information that might be useful:

I’ve tried FF and IE8 browsers, as well as Vista and XP

I’ve done general Google searches etc and seem to have done everything people have suggested

I have a friend who has the same set up working fine on her blog, but she couldn’t find the problem

I’m hosted with Hostgator

I haven’t modified the plug in in any way

I *THINK* I have followed the installation and set up video tutorials properly

Well this is embarrassing…it seems to be working fine now! I haven’t changed anything so I suspect my friend may have managed to figure out the problem after all. I do apologise if anyone has wasted time looking into this on my behalf. When I find out what was wrong, I’ll post so that anyone who stumbles on this post might have a clue where to start solving the problem. Thanks.

I’m having the same issue as your Issue #2. I’m seeing the additional images for all products, even though I only have the relevant images entered on the pertinent product pages. Do you know how you fixed this, please?

When I use any of fancy shortcodes to display the product on a page/post, the thumbnail image does not show up. But when I click on it, the lightbox shows the image without any problem. It is the same with additional images also. Their thumbnail is broken but they are fine on the lightbox.

Do you have the “Smart Thumbnail Option” enabled in the eStore settings? If so please disable it and see how it goes.
