creating a user with in emember does not create a user in wordpress. So if i need to give support on a forum, my users will have to register for another account? right?

Any possibility to have the person also register with wordpress blog site with a default subscriber status?

    thanks!

The eMember has a separate membership database which has some advantages. For example we can add more membership fields for member’s profile down the road (I have some plan around it) without being restricted by wordpress’s user database. Also when you share a table with WordPress it is highly likely that the plugin will break as soon as wordpress makes some changes to their user table structure. we do have plans to make it so somehow you can configure it to make your members a subscriber status on your wordpress installation.

well you can keep wp member table intact and still manage a table for eMembers with your own fields. I mean why you can’t add a field of username/userid of the wp table as a reference id/name to your eMember table and add all additional/required fields to it.

oh, I was looking for this information too.

I’d really need wordpress users to be used or at least to be some correlation between the membership users and the wordpress users.

Separate users are really not ok. (in my own opinion)

Yep, there is going to be an option for correlation. This is what I am thinking of implementing… when someone becomes a member it will automatically create a wordpress login with the same credentials with a default “Subscriber” status. You as the admin can manually give them other higher role. This way members can share the same login details.
