Using WordPress 4.8 and attempting to install PDF Stamper using the WordPress plug-in uploader.
Receiving the error message, “The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini.”
I’m comfortable uploading files by FTP using FileZilla. If you think that will solve the problem, please provide instructions and I’ll try that.
Previously installed WP eStore and had no problems. Thank you for your help — looking forward to using WP eStore and PDF Stamper.
Make sure to set the transfer mode of your FTP program to “Binary” so that the encoded files do not get corrupted during the upload.
Unzip and upload the new version to the “wp-content/plugins/” directory, of your site.
Activate the plugin through the Plugins menu in WordPress.
Just to be clear, do I double-click the “wp-pdf-stamper.zip” folder to unzip it, then upload the “wp-pdf-stamper” file folder to the “wp-contant/plugins” directory?
Thank you for your help and patience. Just want to make sure I get this right.
Inside the zip file is a “wp-pdf-stamper” directory. You upload, via FTP, the “wp-pdf-stamper” directory to the “wp-contant/plugins” directory on your server.
REMEMBER TO ENSURE THAT FTP IS IN THE “BINARY TRANSFER” MODE.
Success! Thank you for your help.
