Purchased eMember today, and everything’s looking good with my setup – I think.
Except – I did some testing with different redirect configurations by creating members, and afterwards deleted the members. They’re gone from the list of members shown at “WP eMembers – Manage Members”. If I search for them by name or email, there are no returns. But if I try to use the email addresses again to do further tests, I get the message “The email address you are using is already taken”.
Is this old, deleted member info being stored somewhere? MySQL Database? How can I scrub it out? And will this problem return if the same customer tries to purchase sequential one-month subscriptions from the same email address?
Thanks!

Remember, if you want to create WP users or use the existing WP users with eMember you can do that too. Check this documentation for it:

Wow – a reply in 15 minutes? I think I’m going to like it here.
Thank you.
December 3, 2012 at 5:26 pm #38158Allan SimmonsMemberOkay, sorry to reawaken this thread but I have the same issue and have a problem with it rejecting if they are already registered as a user on the system.
I am using HelpDesk plugin which requires users to register to use that. I also was hoping to use WPeMembers to restrict access to users to specific pages.
Are you saying my users cannot register to use the Helpdesk tools AND become a member of the site without having a second email address. I think I need to get a refund then as this makes it totally unusable for what I want.
I already have users set up on HelpDesk and they too need to be able to access the members only parts.
Sorry, Allan.
December 4, 2012 at 3:42 am #38159adminKeymasterHi, You can use your existing WordPress users (created by another plugin) with eMember. No need for the user to create another account. You can also tell eMember to automatically create an eMember user account whenever another plugin creates a WP User account. Have a look at this documentation:
Using eMember with Another Plugin That Uses the WordPress User Roles
Let me know if that helps.
