I have WordPress 5.3.2 installed.
In “Site Health” this message appears:
The default time zone is not valid.
PHP’s default time zone has changed after loading WordPress for a call of the date_default_timezone_set () function. This interferes with the correct date and time calculations.
Only when eMember is activated, it interferes with the publications programmed in WordPress and the calendar in PublishPress. In another place where eMember is not installed it does not occur.
I removed all the plugins and left only eMember and the error appears with it enabled and when it is disabled the error disappears.
When the option “Use WordPress Timezone” in eMember settings is disabled, the error also disappears, and when enabled it reappears and forces you to change in WordPress “Timezone” for UTC instead of city.
Can it be perhaps because of the change introduced in WP 5.3 in the handling of Timezone at the code level?
Thank you. Kind Regards.
This is a WP5.3 change related. Go to the emember settings menu and uncheck the following checkbox:
Use WordPress Timezone
Then our plugin won’t try to do this and the issue will be resolved.
Done, thank you!
