Hi,
I’m using wp eMember with, eStore and PDF Stamper together. And we’re using POST method to generate members and then members download their stamped pdf’s from their member area.
While generating members, we send all the address information as address_street. We don’t include address_city and country information. So they remain empty when the member is generated.
The problem is, when pdf’s are stamped, the PDF stamper still tries to use those areas in the stamping process. But they remain empty of course.
It stamps in format: address_street, address_city, country.
But even though city and country is empty in the members area. It includes the comma’s and that looks a bit ugly.
It looks like: (real address entered), , .
Can we expect this to resolve in future updates?
November 25, 2013 at 10:19 pm #59202adminKeymasterWhatever you send via the “customer_address” field to the stamper API will be stamped as is. Have you checked in your script that you are sending the address that way you want to stamp it?
November 26, 2013 at 3:58 pm #59203OzanMemberWe send the address information to the eMember plugin, not to PDF Stamper. And then the pdf stamper takes the information from member informations. We use estore shortcode [wp_eStore_download_now_button_with_stamping id=1].
When you send the {customer_address} directly to PDF stamper, it stamps what you send to it. No problem there.
But when you create a member with only “address_street” info (no country or address city details) and when the customer clicks the “download” button to stamp it, the pdf stamper things that the {customer_address} is based on 3 information: address_street, address_city, country even though all 3 may not be filled in member information.
And it tries to write it by adding comma’s between those elements. And since there is only address_street info in the customer details, it stamps it as:
address_street, , .
So it adds the , , . parts automatically.
Can this be solved?
November 28, 2013 at 3:02 am #59204adminKeymasterIf you are going to use the {customer_address} stamping tag then you need to fill in all the following details for each member:
address_street
address_city
country
WP eMember has capability to collect all those fields. Simply enable those fields in the registration form.
