Hi,

I’ve followed the video guide for Amazon S3 downloads but I get this error when clicking the download button. The S3 Bucket is in London.

Can’t figure out what’s wrong.

RESOLVED

It seems it comes from the Amazon S3 Buckets that does not support the authorization protocol WP E-Store is using. Bucket in London is too recent. I moved to Ireland and it works.

The London region was established by Amazon after January 30, 2014. Any such regions will only support only Signature Version 4 and therefore all requests to those regions must be made with Signature Version 4. This requirement creates an additional computational load that is not required in Signature Version 2.

Amazon has stated that “…regions created before January 30, 2014 will continue to support the previous protocol, Signature Version 2…” and because there are enough of them to go around, there has been no need to add support for Signature Version 4.
