I have been trying to figure this out for an entire day, since early this morning. I have read article after article on this forum. I cannot figure out why the download links are not showing on my thank you page. It’s silly, but I’m about ready to burst into tears. LOL.. kidding, not really I’m really stressing out though. I’m testing in sandbox mode. I have a sandbox seller and buyer account set up. I have PDT on and a return URL set up. All of the other boxes that are supposed to be checked are checked. I tried to run debug but all of the debug files are empty. I did an IPN test and it was sent successfully. As the seller, I do receive the email showing the sale. But I never receive an email as the buyer AND the download links don’t show up on the thank you page. My shop is at [http://shop.anythingbutperfect.com] It is just a shell right now. There is only one product up that I’m trying to test the checkout with.

March 23, 2012 at 1:50 am #43309pixelmommyMemberLet me add that I have watched the video, my thank you page can be found at [http://shop.anythingbutperfect.com/thank-you] and paypal.php pulled up in the browser says debug is enabled.
March 23, 2012 at 3:01 am #43310pixelmommyMemberCHMOD 666 the debug files and they are no longer empty. The download_manager_debug.log wasn’t even there! Was getting a 404 error. So I created an empty log and uploaded. I checked the zip file of my install and it’s not included in there either (so you might want to check into that). I’m so ready to give up on this. Not having the download links on the thank you page is a deal breaker for me. That was the whole purpose of me purchasing this plugin. So I could say good-bye to Etsy and stop having to customers wait for me to email them files. Please help. Thank you.

March 23, 2012 at 7:08 am #43312PeterMemberI have to ask the simple questions first
Did you place the [wp_eStore_transaction_result:end] shortcode on the thank you page
AND,
did you enable the “Enable Transaction Result Displayā€¯ in the settings (Post Payment Process Settings) menu of WP eStore?
I’ve looked at your ipn_handle_debug.log file and it looks ok.
Also which version of eStore have you currently got?
Additionally please see link below which gives you a checklist of what you should be aware of when testing eStore.
NOTE: by using PayPal sandbox you won’t receive emails as a buyer (explained in link below)
March 23, 2012 at 2:50 pm #43313pixelmommyMemberGood morning Peter! I understand you need to ask the simple questions first! I spent over 12 hours troubleshooting this yesterday. I think I read every tutorial and forum post related to the subject! Looked at the logs, all that. As you said, everything LOOKS fine. The transaction completes, the emails are sent – just no download links on the Thank You page. My eStore version is v6.5.3.
COINCIDENTALLY… This morning I took everything out of sandbox mode and had my husband do a real transaction from his computer. Guess what? He got the download link ON the Thank You page and the email confirmation as well!
I’ve very happy about that because I truly love all aspects of this plugin, BUT – wondering what I’m doing wrong in sandbox mode that would cause the encrypted links NOT to show on the Thank You page? I must be missing something.
March 23, 2012 at 11:02 pm #43314PeterMemberHi,
My guess is that you are using the PDT token of your “real” PayPal account in the eStore Payment Gateway settings page.
If you want to test with PayPal sandbox, you will need to obtain your sandbox account’s PDT token and put it in the eStore settings.
March 24, 2012 at 5:33 am #43315pixelmommyMemberAh ha! You’re right. That’s exactly what I was doing. And, it did cross my mind, but I did a search in the sandbox and could not find a place anywhere to activate/receive the PDT token.
