Hi,
When I use the text link, it adds the product to the cart but then redirects to the root home page.
How can I make it stay on the same page and use the cart on that page?
thanx,
Jane
October 25, 2012 at 10:03 am #50688PeterMemberCheck to see if you might have the “Automatic redirection to checkout page” enabled in the eStore settings page.
If so you can disable it to prevent this re-direction from happening.

October 25, 2012 at 12:47 pm #50690netgrrlMemberIf I tick the Auto redirection to checkout page, it does go to the checkout page, but I would like it to stay on the same page and just update the shopping cart – is this possible?
October 25, 2012 at 10:56 pm #50691PeterMemberPlease post a link to your site so we can add an item to the cart and see for ourselves.
October 25, 2012 at 11:25 pm #50692netgrrlMemberIt’s happening on 2 sites I am working on. One is behind a placekeeper page so I would have to PM you the login.
Use this one (demo shopping cart at bottom of page) The url is a little strange because I have to have index.php in the middle, but it is correct. –
[http://www.waltja.org.au/index.php/shop-at-waltja/]
Text Link:
October 26, 2012 at 6:58 am #50693adminKeymasterNot sure why there is a “index.php” in the URL. That looks a little weird for a standard WordPress setup. I am guessing this is causing the plugin to retrieve the current page URL correctly so it messing up the redirection.
I have added an option in this feature that should help to get around this. Do the following:
1) Download and install a new copy of the eStore extra shortcodes plugin (so you get this little tweak I added)
2) Then use the following to create your text link:
waltja.org.au/index.php/?wp_eStore_add_to_cart=7&redirect_to=none
Let me know how you go after that.
October 26, 2012 at 11:10 am #50694netgrrlMemberOk I’ll give it a try, but the other site is on another ISP and it happens doesn’t have the index.php in the URL.
October 28, 2012 at 10:55 pm #50695netgrrlMemberNo that didn’t work. It still goes back to the home page.
I have disabled all other plugins, gone back to the default theme and still the problem exists.
October 29, 2012 at 3:15 am #50696adminKeymasterI don’t see the new extra shortcodes update on this site. Did you delete the old copy of the extra eStore shortcodes plugin then downloaded a new copy from our server?
What version number do you see for the extra shortcodes plugin? You can find the version number of all your plugins from the “plugins” menu of your WordPress dashboard.
November 6, 2012 at 12:03 am #50697netgrrlMemberI deleted the old plugin, installed v4.4.9 and tried again but it still returns to the home page.
November 6, 2012 at 4:57 am #50698adminKeymasterOkay in that case it seems like you have another plugin that is contributing to this issue. Do this test:
