Suggested feature choose album(s) from gallery page

Ok this is not quite troubleshooting and is not an advertised feature I am having problems with but rather a functionality I could really use and which I believe would be a worthwhile addition to the product.

I have unintentionally fallen into the need to create lots of galleries – I started shooting the odd football match and can now regularly cover 2 or more matches a week during the season (and pre season so July to May) – each one being a gallery. This has called for some serious reorganisation breaking the albums down somewhat. As it stands it is easy to create a new album then I have to run down the long long list of galleries and tick which ones I want. I have found this throws up a couple of problems – one I can easily over look a gallery with it ending up not in any album and 2 it is long winded and slow.

Is there any chance of having it so on the gallery page you can tick which album(s) you want the gallery to display in. There are obviously less albums than galleries – and of course a gallery can appear in a couple of albums (say the team album and the cup final album) and a column could be included to show if gallery is in any albums so any left out could be easily spotted.
