It seems our credit card transactions processed via Stripe and the Gateway Bundle are getting processed as recurring transactions. BUT we’re not set up for that. That is, we don’t have that configured as an option in the settings of WP eStore or on the Stripe Developers side as a webhook.
And yet when I look into the eStore Manage Customers log screen and View Details for Stripe entries, there are Subscriber IDa populated into that field. Does Stripe require a unique ID there, even if the transaction is one-time only?
We had to investigate as a customer asked for a reversal/refund because her credit card statement clearly had “Recurring Payment” associated with her eStore buy from us. No others have inquired as yet, but I’m worried that any Stripe processing has been with a Subscription marker……
October 30, 2018 at 2:51 am #78763wpCommerceModeratorHi, Do you have a subscription button on your site? If not then it’s not possible for the plugin to subscribe a customer to a Stripe plan. You can check what plan that customer was subscribed to in your Stripe account.

I hadn’t checked for a customer’s recurring transaction in Stripe, looking specifically for a Subscription plan. I did; she wasn’t. And yet, according to the copy/pasted email she sent, her credit card statement clearly shows that recurring charge indicator.
But in our growing customer records for Stripe transactions in Manage Customers, is it normal behavior for the Subscriber ID field to match the number from the Transaction ID field above it? Without a Subscription specifically, shouldn’t that field be blank? I was going to upload a screen shot of what our shows….
October 31, 2018 at 3:59 am #78765wpCommerceModeratorWe have no explanation for this since our plugin retrieves the unique transaction/subscription ID from Stripe. She may have purchased it from a different site and is thinking that it came from yours. You should check your Stripe account to see how she was charged.
