Hello My Name is Kelly,
I have created a product for a recurring payment with a subscribe button. I then created a Subscribe page and used the code that was given from the estore drop down menu
[wp_eStore_subscribe:product_id:3:end] but when I view the page and click on the subscribe button I do not get directed to the PayPal account.
I made sure that I checked the use PayPal and entered the correct email for the PayPal account in the estore settings menu.
I think I am missing something in the setup process for PayPal but I do not know what, I have gone over everything several times. Please help… need subscribe button to link to PayPal account. URL: [admin deleted link]
Thank you:)

January 12, 2011 at 11:18 pm #27969IvyMemberHi, Hmmm.. It looks like something is not setup correctly. Please have a look at the following videos to make sure everything is correct.
Let me know how it goes.
January 13, 2011 at 12:07 am #27970HeideasMemberHello Ivy,
Thank you for your prompt reply. I looked at the videos again and went over my notes, I am pretty sure that I did everything as instructed. To be on the safe side I decided to reinstall the eStore plugin. This did not help. I am not sure what you need from me to gain access but if you could take a look at the configuration maybe you could spot what I have missed. Now after I reinstalled I did notice that the email address that defaults to PayPal is not the correct email address, but I changed it and the subscribe button still did not work. Please help… thank you:)

January 13, 2011 at 3:51 am #27971wpCommerceModeratorHi, How did you configure the product that you are using for subscription type button?
Did you provide at least the following information?
In the “Product Details” section
a) Product Name
In the “Subscription/Recurring payment specific settings” section
a) Recurring Billing Amount (e.g. 5.00)
b) Recurring Billing Cycle ( e.g 1 month)
January 13, 2011 at 3:56 am #27972amin007ParticipantI just looked at the HTML code on this page and it looks like you just embedded a subscribe image:
[admin deleted link]
Can you go back to that page and make sure you have the following shortcode?
[wp_eStore_subscribe:product_id:3:end]
If you are sure about that then can you please check to make sure you don’t have any value in the “Button Link” field?
January 13, 2011 at 4:28 am #27973HeideasMemberHello – Thank you for getting back to me,
For wpCommerce here are the answers to your question.
Did you provide at least the following information?
In the “Product Details” section
a) Product Name = Therapist Membership
In the “Subscription/Recurring payment specific settings” section
a) Recurring Billing Amount (e.g. 5.00)= 24.95
b) Recurring Billing Cycle ( e.g 1 month)= 1 month
For amin007 here is the answer to your question.
Yes I used the short code [wp_eStore_subscribe:product_id:4:end] and there is nothing in the “Button Link” field.
I am more than willing to have someone look in the backdoor to see what I have missed is anything. Do you think this is possible? This has really got me boggled. Thanks.

January 13, 2011 at 5:01 am #27974HeideasMemberHello,
I think I found another problem that is contributing to the subscribe button. I updated to the wordpress 3.0.4 and now I cannot create new pages with text.
For example on the subscribe button page I added text before the short code and when I published the page the text does not appear only the subscribe button, which does not redirect to PayPal.
Also, when you type text into the visual it no longer converts it to html. What is going on… what happened when I updated to the 3.0.4 wordpress? Please Please Please Help! Thank You!
January 13, 2011 at 8:09 am #27975amin007ParticipantIf there is a problem with the WordPress 3.0.4 itself then you will need to contact WordPress as this has nothing to do with the eStore plugin.
December 13, 2011 at 6:19 pm #27976HeideasMemberCould someone please tell me how I can get this post about our problems with the PayPal button to be removed from a Google search? We don’t want people to not join our membership site if they think our systems don’t work. Thank you!
December 14, 2011 at 5:20 am #27977adminKeymasterI doubt your customers will be looking at this forum post but I have removed the links of your website from every post here so there should be no mention of your site on this thread anymore.
