How do you stop further videos from displaying when your video finishes playing. When you embed a youtube video you can do this but I can’t see how to do this with the plugin. Have I missed something?
Thanks in advance.
July 14, 2012 at 5:23 am #47321wpCommerceModeratorHi, what shortcode are you using?
August 23, 2012 at 8:10 am #47322jack96161MemberI need an answer to this as well — I’m using
[wp_lightbox_prettyPhoto_video link=”http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MvY5vBjt9t4″ width=800 height=600 source=”http://www.highsierradesign.com/LVA/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/LarryGJones-CharacterShots12sml-B.png”%5D
Is there a parameter to prevent the YouTube “suggestions” when the video is finished?
August 23, 2012 at 10:06 am #47323wpCommerceModeratorHi, now there is a shortcode for embedding a YouTube video. Instructions are available here:
August 23, 2012 at 5:16 pm #47324jack96161MemberI’ve read that and tried dozens of combinations, but what my client wants may not be possible with this plugin — he wants:
image anchor
autoplay
no suggestions
I can achieve all these easily enough, but he also would like the overlay effect of PrettyPhoto — not available with wp_lightbox_ultimate_youtube_video_embed
and finally, a way to disable clicking on the YouTube logo that transfers out of the site to the YouTube site.
This plugin is close, but no cigar yet…
August 23, 2012 at 11:53 pm #47325wpCommerceModeratorHi, you need to use
rel=0
to disable related videos. According to the new YouTube documentation it doesn’t work with normal URL anymore. You can try adding&rel=0
to the URL of prettyPhoto YouTube shortcode. But I don’t think it’s going to work.Have you read the parameter description of YouTube logo (show_logo)? It’s in the YouTube shortcode reference guide.
August 24, 2012 at 7:09 pm #47326jack96161MemberI tried the &rel=0 trick on prettyPhoto earlier — you’re right, it doesn’t work there. The show_logo parameter doesn’t prevent the YouTube icon from showing up to the right of the controls whenever they are displayed, and clicking on it does take you to their site. I’m sure YouTube isn’t doing anything to make this easy to disable… But thanks again…
