I’m curious to know what the response has been from people who purchase a PDF and then realize it has their info stamped on the bottom of some or all the pages? Any complaints?
Also, have there been any instances of stamped PDF’s actually being found online, perhaps with the stamp somehow removed?
I’m not at all opposed to trying to protect my work, but I do wonder how easily someone, who put their mind to it, could actually edit or delete the stamped info.

Kind of like how we tell people to check the minimum requirement plugin before buying the PDF Stamper. Once you tell you customers that it is your policy then they know what to expect. An alternative option could be to stamp the “Transaction ID” rather than their details. The unique transaction ID of the purchase can be used to uniquely identify that transaction and you will know who it belongs to. PDF stamper has encryption option which makes it impossible to edit the stamped copy of the PDF file.

Is the stamp somehow flat text imprinted in the page, or is it placed in a text box or something in the footer that can be printed white-on-white so it is not visible (since this is a book, I’d rather not have visible text printed in the footer that may intrude on the reading.) My thinking is to tell buyers that the file is secured to them as the purchaser, but to have the stamp located somewhere only I would know to look, or several places.
I don’t really have any interest in going after anyone in particular if the file was circulated, though saying the document is secured to them might siscourage rampant abuse. It would at least not be a stamp visibly planted on a page, but might let me know where a file came from if one ever was too widely circulated.
Thanks…open to hearing opinions too.
