eStore – Custom Products Order Inside Category

Hi there,

We need the possibility to order the products inside a category in a custom structure not alphabetical or by price or by id.

We need to be able to put them in our own order.

Is there any solution for this?

I have searched the forums and I have seen some topics related to this but none of them answered my question properly.

I know there are 4 ways to order by default using shortcode for ID’s and alphabetical.

If i choose to order by id I can’t change the product’s id.

Is it possible to add a custom field in products section name it order and have the sort system for it.

I think the easiest solution for you would be to change the product ID value in the eStore database and that will help you list them in a custom order.

We don’t let the product ID be edited in the plugin because a lot of things will go wrong if you make mistakes editing them. This is not something most users ever need to do anyway.

However, you can change the product ID via PHPMyAdmin of your site if you really want to. The following video tutorial will show you how to use PHPMyAdmin (if you didn’t know it alread):
