Photo Seller – sorting possibility for variations

Hi.

In price-lists with a larger range of variations there comes the need to reorder the items due newly added items.

f.ex. the List starts with regular pictures printouts in variant sizes an then continues with fabric prints.

A newly added regular picture printout will be at the end of the list due its highest internal value for the id.

But its out of its group and needs to be reordered.

Would it be a possibility to ad some type of order_id to the table wps_variations and bring it to use in the plugin?

There is a sort ordering configuration item in the price list settings which I added not that long ago. It has name and date ordering options. Did you try that?

Yes i used that for ordering the frontend alphabetically. But

a) it has no effect for real ordering in the backend.

b) sometimes you want to group the physical variations not that way but somehow other. Like for promoting a special variation with a earlier position in the list.

PS: using the given sorting possibility in the backend by clicking on the table titles results in a pricelist with no items displayed (&orderby=name&order=asc).
