I am trying to get a small commission paid to affiliates for free members. I have affiliate, estore and emember plugins.
I created a product with $0.00 cost and linked it to free membership level in emember.
I set commission for product at .10 for level 1 and .05 for level 2.
in payments processors I enabled “Redirect to Manual Checkout For Zero Amount Purchase” and set up for manual processing. and checked “Automatically Award Affiliate Commission”
Then I added the button on page http://scambusterfram.com/test/?ap_id=fram1 (fram1 is a second tier affiliate)
I tried various shortcodes and none provide desired effect which is.
1. Free member sign-up
2. Affiliate sign-up
3. commission to fram and fram1
I can get 1 & 2 to happen but not the commissions (item3,)
If I use a buy shortcode I am directed to paypal even though it is set at $0.00 and I thought that should not happen.
Can you PLEASE give me some guidance on this. Is what I am attempting possible?
If so what have I done wrong? I know I can set this up as a contact7 option and then manually approve commissions but that is not what I want.
Thanks & God bless,
Graham

July 7, 2012 at 12:32 am #47005adminKeymasterFirst of all, if your sale amount is $0.00 then it doesn’t generate any commission.
Are you using a percentage based commission model or fixed amount per sale model?
July 7, 2012 at 6:35 am #47006frammieMemberFixed amount as stated above! “I set commission for product at .10 for level 1 and .05 for level 2.”
Also fixed amount for paid subscription which works fine.
Please respond!
July 8, 2012 at 12:39 am #47007adminKeymasterOkay in that case it should work for what you are trying to do. Now, lets find out why it is not working as intended.
1) Please verify for me that you have the following field checked from the manual gateway settings section of eStore plugin:
Automatically Award Affiliate Commission
2) Enable debug and then do another eStore manual gateway purchase and share the content of the “eStore_post_payment_debug.log” file. More details on debug can be found here:
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/how-and-when-to-enable-debug-and-what-does-it-do
July 8, 2012 at 6:11 am #47008frammieMemberyes that is checked as I stated in mny original request!
I will enable debug and try again but manual purchase does not appear – it goes to paypal.
July 8, 2012 at 6:24 am #47009frammieMembernothing in files as goes to paypal and paypal will not process a $0.000 value!
According to all I have read and set the payment should automatically redirect to a manual form but that does not happen. I have not set up a form on a WP page as it says this is optional.
Could you please try this yourself and maybe look at the settings in the site??
I need this set up ASAP and this dialog is not going anywhere and all answers take 24 hours.
PLEASE assist!
Thanks & God bless

July 9, 2012 at 2:26 am #47010adminKeymasterI sent you an email to get access so I can checkout the settings and see what is going on.
July 9, 2012 at 11:00 am #47011frammieMemberThanks I have submitted the form.
I have this working now by using the shopping cart but it will not function with a buy button as it will not automatically going to manual for $0.00 price.
I would prefer automatic to manual as it is less for a would be sign up to do – if you can help with that.
Also on another subject; there is a transaction count ( {counter} )that can be added in emails for manual payments – is there anywhere that this can be viewed in the admin area so it can be linked to a person or purchase?
Is it possible to add a member ID number into emails in a similar way from WP emember plug in? I see the system numbers members but I can’t see anywhere that a member can be advised of this number? Is it possible?
Thanks & God bless,
Your help is really appreciated!
