Hi there,
I just installed the plugin and started using from yesterday.
It works great for few purchases, then some buyers started to have problems to click on the download links. Below are the error messages the buyers get at their side:
“The secure download manager ran into a problem that it couldn’t handle, and is unable to process your download request.
The problem was due to the following reason:
The download link (see browser address bar) has been used too many times. If you think this reason is in error, please contact the site administrator.”
Some buyers bought 6 items in one purchase, only 1 is having this problem. Some buyers could not download at all for all his/her purchases. We are selling small ebooks in PDF format. I would say, 3 out of 5 purchases would have this problem. I tried to search in the forum, but I could not find anyone that had similar problems as mine.
I set the link validity as 24 hours, and download limit is 1. The problem is, the buyers are having the problem even the first attempt to download.
I have the debug file from eStore, but unfortunately I’m not technical enough to understand the log file. Could someone help in this case? Could I send the debug file for you to have a look?
Thank you so much.
Best Regards,
Yin

“1” is an unreasonable value; “3” (the eStore default) is a typically more reasonable value. The reason is that if the buyer’s email client or browser, runs an antivirus check on the link; THAT automagically uses up the “1” download.

Thank you so much for your reply. I have tried the reasonable value at “3”. That seems to solve the problem, as no one complaint can’t download anymore.
Just want to drop a line here to inform everyone that this solution works – just incase anyone face the same problem
