I currently have wp-estore on my site with 3 subscription options for 1-month, 2-months and 3-months. However, I have to ‘move’ my site to a new hosting provider and have taken the opportunity to create a brand new WordPress site with a fresh theme and am setting up wp-estore, wp-emember and wp-affiliate from scratch with the same subscription options.
My question is what will happen to my existing subscribers once I setup the new website on the new server and shut down the old one ? Is there a method to migrate the users etc. I don’t want to have to ask them to re-signup via the ‘new site’ once it’s all up and running and would appreciate any advice on this matter.
Thanks
Dave
You simply export all the data from your old server and import it into the database of you new server. Aren’t you exporting all your data from the old server and importing into the new server anyway so you don’t loose all your WordPress posts and pages?
Anyway, if you go to your cPanel and then launch PHPMyAdmin you will be able to browse to the specific eStore and eMember tables that store the member’s details then export them to a csv file. Then you can log into the cPanel of your new site and launch PHPMyAdmin and import those csv files into the empty tables on this server and all done.
There are many video tutorials on how to export data using PHPMyAdmin on the web so find a good one and follow it if you get confused (The process is not hard)
