Thanks in advance for your help. I need my shopping cart to charge tax only on one state’s orders. I have set that up in PayPal per your instructions but it isn’t happening. What do I do?
The store page is phylliscoledai.com/store/. I use WordPress 5.2.5. Plugin: Version 4.4.9.
Did you follow these instructions, for setting up taxes?

Yes, as I stated in my post, I followed your instructions. I have doublechecked everything. I can’t figure this out.
So, if you are using those instructions; can’t you set the tax rate for the other states to zero?
Looks like you are using the “smart checkout” option of PayPal only. PayPal doesn’t offer their profile based tax feature to that Smart Checkout option. That one is only available in their standard checkout (the default one offered by the simple cart plugin). I am not sure how to solve this one unfortunately.
That’s unfortunate.
I’ve run into a variety of snafus with Simple Shopping Cart. Sometimes I wonder if I shouldn’t try something else. Would your eStore plugin be any better, e.g., on this particular matter? The thing is, I don’t want to pay for another plugin when I just paid for the Shopping Cart.
I have sent you an email for it.
