I have searched the documentation, forum and videos but I can’t find a remedy for the issue I am having. I have two items on my product page. When I add the first item to the shopping cart and increase the quantity, the cart automatically updates to the correct price. But when I add the second product to the shopping cart and increase the quantity it doesn’t update the cost. I have tried a variety of locations for the cart (on the product page, on a separate page, in the sidebar using the widget) thinking there may be a bug of some sort, but I get the same result. Is there a way to display an “update cart” button, or a “continue shopping” button that I am just not seeing? I have tested on multiple browsers on my development Mac (Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Opera) and they all have the same issue. I have checked the syntax of both “Add to Cart” buttons and they are correct.
Having the ability to increase the quantities of these two products is vital as all of our customers order multiple quantities of both products in one purchase. And many of them are Mac users. Other than this issue, the plugin and it’s integration with our PayPal account is exactly what we need.
Thank you for your help!
September 10, 2019 at 4:08 am #79901adminKeymasterThis looks like a caching type issue. Are you using any caching on this site? Is your hosting provider using caching?
Please post the URL of the page so I can check it out also.
September 11, 2019 at 8:58 pm #79902ToniMemberI have managed WP hosting on godaddy. I know that they don’t allow caching plugins. Is that something I need to talk to their tech support about?
September 12, 2019 at 3:51 am #79903adminKeymasterJust request them to clear the caching.
September 13, 2019 at 4:18 am #79904ToniMemberI cleared the cache in WP admin, which didn’t help. And I spent 30 minutes on the phone with tech support and they cleared cache on their end. Still didn’t fix the problem.
September 15, 2019 at 3:03 am #79905adminKeymasterCan you give the URL Of the page so I can see this myself using my browser.
This is usually always caching related (there is really no other magic to this one). Just a matter of figuring out where that caching is coming from.
September 15, 2019 at 8:27 pm #79906ToniMemberHere is the URL of the site in dev: l21.d54.myftpupload.com/all-service-academy-ball/rsvp-for-the-ball/
I have flushed the cache and have NOT checked this in the cart admin: “Check this option if you are using a caching solution on your site. This will bypass the nonce check on the add to cart buttons.” (Even though I tested with it checked.)
I’m hoping you’ll see exactly what needs to be tweaked to make it work.
Many thanks in advance!!
September 16, 2019 at 1:57 am #79907adminKeymasterI am seeing a JavaScript error on this page at the moment. That needs to be solved first.
Please read the following page which explain what I mean by JavaScript error.
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/debugging-javascript-errors-on-your-site
Remover the plugin or custom code that is causing that error. Then I will test that page again.
September 16, 2019 at 11:47 pm #79908ToniMemberI don’t see an error. Checked the JavaScript console in both Safari and Chrome according to the instructions on the forum page…
September 17, 2019 at 12:53 am #79909ToniMemberActually, I hadn’t put anything into the cart when I tested. I checked again and in troubleshooting the error, it looks like it might be associated with the Securi plugin. I’ll poke Godaddy tech support again (since this plugin comes with managed WP hosting). Will update this post when I find out more.
September 17, 2019 at 1:14 am #79910ToniMemberOkay, I have de-activated ALL plugins except for yours, and changed the theme to Twenty Nineteen and still have the issue. I’ll leave the site as is so that you can test on your end.
September 17, 2019 at 1:36 am #79911adminKeymasterSomething strange is going on. I have sent you an email to get access to the site so I can check it further.
