I just installed and set everything up. I want to automatically add buyers to my GR autoresponder list. It was not working, so I tried following the troubleshooting post. I set up a test squeeze page to test the signup. The signup did not happen. I got my email, but did not get signed up to the autoresponder.

my product name is aadofollowlist1
my GR autoresponder list name is also aadofollowlist1
This will not cause a problem will it?
April 28, 2011 at 4:35 am #31789amin007ParticipantPlease reset the debug log files. Delete the error_log file. Now, do a squeeze form signup request and share the content of the “eStore_post_payment_debug.log” file.
April 28, 2011 at 9:20 pm #31790einfohoundParticipantHere are the contents of that file after following the instructions. (No signup was recorded by Getresponse.)

April 29, 2011 at 5:14 am #31791amin007ParticipantThank you. it looks like the plugin is not even trying the GetResponse signup which means you haven’t enabled it from the settings. Do you have the “Use GetResponse AutoResponder” checkbox checked from the autoresponder settings of eStore?
What is the PHP version that your server is using?
April 29, 2011 at 2:15 pm #31792einfohoundParticipantUnder “Autoresponder Settings” on the main “Settings” screen, the first checkbox under GetResponse (Use GetResponse AutoResponder) is checked and I have the API key filled in. Global Integration and the Campaign are blank. The GR campaign is filled in on the product.
PHP version 5.2.17
April 30, 2011 at 3:12 am #31793amin007ParticipantI will send you an email to get site access so I can check this out.
April 30, 2011 at 3:43 am #31794einfohoundParticipantI just responded to your email request for site access. Please let me know if there is anything else you need. I am going to bed now. I am in USA – Eastern time is 11:45 PM.
April 30, 2011 at 6:02 am #31795amin007ParticipantLooks like you have entered an incorrect campaign name: aadofollowlist1
According to getresponse the above named campaign doesn’t exist in your account. The othere possibility is that the API key is wrong so it is actually looking for that campaign name in a different account.
April 30, 2011 at 1:17 pm #31796einfohoundParticipantOK…the problem was none of these things. I did not notice (and I don’t believe your video on getting the Getresponse API key showed it) that there is a button to the right of the API key that says “ON/OFF”. It is OFF by default. The API key is not activated until this is turned ON. Once I did this, everything worked fine. You should make a note of this to let others know. It cost me three days of trying to figure it out and it is time that you guys should not have to spend on problems that are not really problems.
Thanks for your help!!!
One last question pertaining to usage of autoresponders in general in this set up…Do you recommend setting the autoresponder campaign up as double opt-in (this is the GR default), or do you recommend automatically adding them (especially if they are a “buying” customer?
May 1, 2011 at 12:13 am #31797amin007ParticipantThe used to be “ON” by default. Anyway, I have updated the instruction to make a note of this.
I recommend using double opt-in. The main reason is that if you don’t use the double opt-in then the people can accuse of sending spams and stuff like that.
May 1, 2011 at 2:27 am #31798einfohoundParticipantYeah. That’s what I decided too. Thanks again for all your help!
