Sidebar widget only display when not empty

Is it possible to add an option to the sidebar widget so that the cart is only displayed when not empty (or make this the default)?

I prefer using the widget as it pulls through the widget title marked up as an H3. I just thought it might be a nice addition to the widget in a future version.
