Shown when product has shipped in Manage Customers

Is there anywhere in “Manage Customers” where I can indicate a product has been shipped (I would manually go into Manage Customers and click a button, or somehow show product has been shipped).

It would be especially nice if it was visible on the main customer info box of “Manage customers” so I could see right away outstanding orders that need to be shipped. This is a problem if this is not offered as my team of employees won’t know which orders have already been shipped.

If this is not an option I am curious how other businesses keep track of outstanding orders that need to be shipped.
