I am using the amount based shipping condition plug in. I have it set so that shipping is charged on orders below a certain amount and free above that amount. This works fine but when the shipping is free it is not mentioned in the cart. How can I make the card say “Shipping: 0.00” when shipping is free. I believe this will give a more positive message to the customer than simply omitting it.
The cart should have a message like the following when free shipping is applied (discount above a certain threshold).
Discount applied successfully! Total Discount: FREE SHIPPING
That tells the user that they are receiving free shipping.
I’m using the amount based shipping plug-in not the coupons & discounts and it doesn’t give a message about free shipping it just leaves it out.
I tried deactivating amount based shipping and using the coupons and discounts feature but it wouldn’t let me save the settings when I pressed the update button (there is no save button) it deleted the values I had entered.
So I’m back to using the amount based shipping plug-in, all I want to know is how to make it show the shipping cost as “0.00”. I would prefer to use this rather than the coupons and discounts feature which even if it would work seems a bit overkill as I do not intend to issue any coupons.
I have updated the amount based shipping addon so it shows a message in the cart when free shipping is applied.
Delete the currently installed copy of the amount based shipping addon. Then download a new copy of the addon and use it.
Thank you so much. All working OK now.
