Hi …
I seem to recall seeing instructions about how to edit the shortcode to redirect a customer on my top domain (www.selfcareadvisor.net) to a training subdomain (www.training.selfcareadvisor.net.)
Can’t find those instructions today. Help? Pretty sure this is basic … embarrassingly so …
thnx!
May 9, 2018 at 8:00 pm #77803wzpModeratorWere you thinking of this?
You’d use an HTML button on the first site, with an Add To Cart or Buy Now link to another.

Thanks!
May 10, 2018 at 1:50 am #77805SemmelweisReturnsSpectatorWell … I’ve got the plug-in installed … and I’ve tried nine ways from Sunday to get this code, in a textfield, to work:
< a href=”https://www.training.selfcareadvisor.net/?wp_eStore_buy_now=1″ > <img src=”https://selfcareadvisor.net/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/add_to_cart.png”>Add to Cart </ a>
(note: the weird extra spaces in the “< a” tags are not in what I’ve been using on the site; they’re only there because otherwise this post was dropping the code when I saved it.)
I’ve tried adding <p> tags … I can get that “Add to Cart” text to show up styled as a regular link and there’s a generic placeholder image just in front of it …
I’ve tried without the text … where upon no button appears at all … I’ve tried putting the button image in the div’s background … I’ve tried it with the text … which seems to be the best so far, but still …
the best I can get is this error message:
This site can’t be reached. unexpectedly closed the connection.
thoughts? Thanks!
May 10, 2018 at 12:16 pm #77806wzpModeratorDo you have an actual subdomain record called [www.training.selfcareadvisor.net] in your DNS?
The “www.” counts as a quaternary (4th level) subdomain. Try removing it.
May 10, 2018 at 6:53 pm #77807SemmelweisReturnsSpectatorThat was it! Thanks!
And I was able to give up trying to build an html button that I could insert into a text field and do what I wanted it to do … that change enabled me to use the built-in button function in my theme … YAY!
