Hi,
I’m trying to embed a Youtube video but the shortcode suggested in the “How to Embed a Youtube Video/Playlist with Lightbox Ultimate Plugin” document (option 3) just appears on the webpage rather than an anchor image.
Here is a link to the webpage [http://www.pinktulip-productions.co.uk/tv-commercials/]
Any help would be gratefully received.
September 26, 2012 at 10:53 pm #49726PeterMemberHi, You have a typo in the shortcode that you entered.
It appears that you may be missing a space between “wp_lightbox_ultimate_youtube_video_embed” and “videoid”.
Can you try modifying your shortcode to include the space and see if that fixes it?
September 27, 2012 at 11:48 am #49727iankirtonMemberHi Peter, thanks for your reply.
I’ve added the space as suggested but it’s still the same.
The video on the left of the page works fine using this code – [wp_lightbox_prettyPhoto_video link=”http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4gcd_QYDTa0″ width=720 height=440 description=”” autoplay=”1″ fullscreen=”0″ show_suggested_video=”0″ source=”http://www.pinktulip-productions.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/LanesPlaceholder.png” title=””]
The reason for trying the different code suggested in the reference guide is that I need to stop the Youtube suggestions coming up at the end of the video and when I add the relative code to do this to the above code, it makes no difference.
September 27, 2012 at 11:56 pm #49728wpCommerceModeratorHi, I just found out that you are using Lightbox Ultimate version 1.5.5. There is a good chance that the new YouTube shortcode you are trying to use was added in a later version than the one you are currently using. Please get a fresh copy of the plugin from here and then try again:

Thanks for your help. The update solved the problem but now I can’t get the video to auto play. Could you have a look and see what you think? – http://www.pinktulip-productions.co.uk/tv-commercials
October 7, 2012 at 9:04 pm #49730wpCommerceModeratorHi, I just checked the source code of your page. It looks like somehow the HTML code for the shortcode got formatted with so many
#038;
characters.Before you insert the shortcode please copy and paste it to a notepad (it will remove any formatting). Now copy the shortcode from your notepad and paste it to the visual post/page editor.
There is also a “Paste as plain text” option in the Visual editor that you can use to remove any text formatting.
