Hi!
I have a strange problem here:
Everything works fine with checkout and the cart..
But:
When a customer uses the wordpress-search to find an item and purchases it from the seach-results, it shows correctly in the resulting cart, but when proceeding to checkout it’s this:
“Either your shopping cart is empty or the PHP Session on your server is not working correctly. Please check this article”
Our programmer mentioned that the session variable is empty then, as well.
We checked the article and everything seems to be alright, server is fine, php-session works. As said, when using the normal product page, everything works perfectly.
Also, when you add some products the normal way and then visit the search site, the shopping widget will be empty, (as $_SESSION)
If you return then to the main page, the shopping cart will be filled again, and checkout is possible.
To make it short: A checkout from the search-results-page is impossible.
I hope you can help us with that problem.
If you need to take a look, this is the site:
cheers,
charles
Can you please tell me what word I should use to search and find a product on your site so I can try adding it to the cart and see the behavior.
Hi Amin!
For example use “fluffy” to find the song “little fluffy clouds”
charles
I searched for that word “fluffy” and got the song “little fluffy clouds”. When I clicked “Add to Cart” I saw that it added the product from http://gameaudio.net/?s=fluffy. But when I cllicked checkout it was submitting product information from http://www.gameaudio.net/. There is a difference between two URLs. One is the WWW version and the other is not. I believe you are using two versions of URL in your site. Please have a look at the “Incorrect Server setup” section of the following post which will explain this –
