Hi there!
Here in Sweden it’s very common that the prices in webshops show the price including our tax (25%) so the customer know what the final cost is. So i click tax function off in the settings to not have out tax rate 25% added one more time in the cart. Now we also have a law/rule in Sweden that all receipts shall inform the customer of the taxed amount. We have a total sum, and of that xxx is tax.
I find the {total_tax} shortcode which is fine I thought and tried it. But I guess that it only works with tax function on, to know how/what to calculate on.
Any idea how I can solve this situation?
I searched through the forum thinking surely others want to display the prices with tax, and have it calculated afterwords… But I can’t find any tips…
Any way I can hardcode in our 25% (tot sum X 0,8 to get the tax) in to the tax cell, and i then can read it out by {total_tax}? Even though i have tax function off?
Thanks in advance!

May 30, 2012 at 8:10 pm #45671RodgeMemberI just wanted to add that a nice feature for future updates would be to include this function in the settings – shipping & tax part.
Calculate Tax [X] Enables tax calculation as below:
[ ] Add Tax Rate [ ]% to prices (todays function)
[X] Shop prices include [25]% Tax Rate (new function)
And the calculated tax amount (sum x 0,8 in my case) then will be shown in cart as “Where xxx is tax” or similiar. And it would be readable by {total_tax} for emailed reciepts etc.
Thanks again!

1) If you want to display tax inclusive price, isn’t the following option good for you?
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/display-ttc-price-tax-included-on-product-page
2) If you want to charge tax then why don’t you want to use the “Calculate Tax” feature?

Why did I miss that thread when i searched the forum?!
I thought it must be more people than just me who needed this function…
Sure it’s the function i’m looking for! I’ve implemented it now and it works fine
Thank you very much for a quick reply!
Have a nice day!
