I have removed shipping calculations from the WP estore cart and have assigned the shipping to Paypal. Customers will now be charged shipping at paypal checkout.
However the e-store still shows a subtotal of Shipping 0
This is confusing to customers. They will think they are getting free shipping until they check out and then will be charged. Bad customer experience.
Can I remove edit the Shipping subtotal and replace it with other text explaining shipping is calculated at PayPal checkout?
Thanks

1) You have enabled PayPal profile based shipping from the following area?
eStore settings -> Payment Gateway Settings -> PayPal Settings -> Use PayPal Profile Based Shipping
2) Edit your products, and go to the Shipping and Tax section. Do you have any value in the “Item Shipping Cost” field? It should be empty (no value) if you do not want the cart to calculate any shipping.
Also, post a link to your products page so I can take a look at the cart behavior.
June 7, 2015 at 1:02 am #57223bjfergusonMemberI have a similar problem. PayPal is calculating shipping cost (which is based on the total cost of the order before shipping is added in). I need for the shopping cart to show what the PayPal checkout screen will show BEFORE the customer goes to PayPal to pay for their order. E.g. The WP e-store shopping cart needs to show the cost of each item (it is currently doing this); the total cost of the order (the sum of the cost of all of the items in the cart; it is currently doing this) + SHIPPING CHARGE (this is what it is not doing) = total cost of the order (it is currently showing the total cost of the order WITHOUT SHIPPING CHARGES being shown and added in). The customer needs to see all of this information before making a decision about whether or not to proceed to the PayPal check-out screen. Can this be done? I couldn’t find any short code that will do this. Thank you.

1) Do you want/need to use PayPal profile based shipping or not?
2) Have you fully read our shipping calculation documentation?
