I checked some old similar posts. I don’t think I have added any postage settings in Estore. I have added a product and am testing if it all works. When I get to the paypal checkout, paypal adds 3 euros to the purchase, am I right in thinking this is a paypal problem and not Estore’s ?
Yet I have checked all the postage calculator stuff in my paypal profile and I did not find anything either
It basically means you have PayPal profile based shipping enabled. If you post a link to your product page I will be able to check and verify this for you.
If you do not want PayPal profile based shipping then search for something like “How to turn off PayPal profile based shipping” in Google and you should find a tutorial that shows you how to turn it off in your PayPal account.
Thank you. I could not find anything in my paypal profile that is called ‘PayPal profile based shipping’. I tried to change all the shipping settings I could find in my paypal profile but nothing has changed
Please do the following.
Log into your PayPal account
Go to My account setup
Process my orders
Shipping Calculations
This will take you to the shipping settings for your PayPal account.
Thank you. I could not find the menues you mentioned. I could only find: my account > my selling preferences > postage calculations, and I have there’s a zero for all the ‘price ranges’. Nothing changed
sorted. The freaking problem was that I deal with two different currencies, so in ‘postage calculations’ I had my other currency selected, not the one that I had to deal with. Which means it’s a dumb system as the ‘selector’ is a very unassuming scroll-down menu and it’s not immediately clear that I have to switch things back and forth just to deal with a postage setting. Paypal’s website sucks anyways in many respects.
Can you believe I took weeks to sort this one issue.
Thank you for your help.
