Tagged: PayPal
I am having a problem understanding two things.
Firstly, is that I use paypal for all sorts of payments. If I set up auto return for website payments, wont it redirect ALL paypal transactions to a specific page, even if its not related to my affiliate product site?
Secondly, they are sent to a different website after paypal payment (to a user registration page for our product site), do I have to change it so they land back on my product sales site?
After you enable “Auto Return” in your account, the “Return URL” can be overridden on a per payment button basis. When you create the PayPal button you can specify what the “Return URL” should be for that button.
So, for example you have payment button 1 that you are using on example-site1.com. You can configure this payment button 1 so when someone makes a payment using this button they get returned to “example-site1.com” site. You can have another payment button that you use on example-site2.com. When someone pays using this 2nd button they can be returned to “example-site2.com”.
FYI – I don’t know how advanced you are with setting up PayPal payment buttons to accept money from multiple different sites but using an eCommerce plugin (example, WP eStore plugin) can help you organize that better and makes the management of accepting payment for products a little easier.
