Hi,
I’ve got the multi-currency add-on for eStore, it works.
What I would like to know is it possible to set the prices in each of the currencies manually?
At the moment if I set (for example) a product price of $10 USD, but change to another currency, we end up with prices that are not whole numbers e.g. AUD $ 11.12.
Also, with the exchange rates (and hence prices) being pulled from an external source, the prices for products can change from day to day making our reporting difficult as prices for the same product can be different on different days.
Cheers
Phil
July 13, 2013 at 12:04 am #56540adminKeymasterHi Phil, The multi currency addon gets the live exchange rate for a currency that your customer selects and changes the product prices accordingly. This is what the addon does.
You want to set a fixed exchange rate for the currency conversion?
The currency conversion rate changes daily so if you set a fixed rate then you will be charging less or more (most of the time). Is that what you want?

Thanks for your reply.
What I want to do is set the price for each product, in each currency, manually. Or at least from some place I specify e.g. a file.
At the moment if the multi-currency add-on sets the price I get something like this :
USD $ 10
AUD $ 11.04
GBP £ 6.62
but what I want is
USD $ 10
AUD $ 11
GBP £ 7
So is it possible to configure the add-on to get it’s rates or the product prices from somewhere I specify like a file?
I don’t know where the add-on gets its live rates from now, and I’d like to add some margin into the exchanged prices. If someone buys in USD or GBP we may have to convert them back to our own currency (AUD) and don’t want to lose out again on exchange rates when doing this.
Thanks
Phil
July 14, 2013 at 12:01 am #56542adminKeymasterI see what you mean. No it doesn’t do that. Basically, we have a details page for this addon where it says how this addon works in general and it doesn’t do anything other than what is explained here:
http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/wp-estore-multi-currency-addon-2030
The live rates are taken from the exchange server. This addon needs to dynamically get the exchange rate and convert the prices accordingly (thats what most of our customers want).
I am not sure why the prices have to be rounded but if thats all you want then I can do a custom job for you to round the prices. So 11.04 will become 11 and 6.62 will become 7. Will that work?
