The maximum charged for shipping anywhere in US is 19.00
I sell large heavy cutting machines and accessories.
The accessories are small and cheap to ship.
If I put down shipping for blades 5.00, rhinstones, 5.00 then I don’t want customer buying machine and accessories to be charged 19+5+5. It would still be %19.00.
Not sure how to do this.
Could I do by weight? 5.00 flat rate for 2 lbs and under?
Can I set a maximum shipping cost?
thanks so much!

Yes you can specify shipping costs by weight by using PayPal’s profile based shipping.
See this for more:
November 11, 2011 at 12:20 am #38367LisaQPMemberUnfortunately I can’t use paypal shipping option. My product are drop shipped from US address and I am in Canada and paypal wont allow a US “ship from address” with Canadian paypal account.
I love this plugin and it does everything I want the way I want except I can’t figure out what to do about shipping.
If you can think of any kind of work around that would be great.
November 11, 2011 at 1:24 am #38368PeterMemberAnother option is to apply an automatic discount for total over a certain amount.
See the following documentation.

You can locate these configuration items in your eStore control panel via the link called “Coupons/Discounts”.
November 11, 2011 at 1:45 am #38369LisaQPMemberI think I may have come up with something if you dont mind please look through and let me know if this makes sense . I have probably spent 10+ hours last few days trying to figure out and going into a zone
I am thinking “base shipping amount” is same way as saying minimum shipping.
So say I make base shipping 7.00.
I have 3 types of products- tiny almost weightless, medium size items and heavy machines
so…
small items individual product shipping cost of .001 ( if they order 1 or 5 will still be 7.00 shipping )
medium items- charge a product shipping cost of 2.00. so bag of rhinestones 7+2 = 9.00 shipping. 2 bags = 7+2+2= 11.00 shipping
large items charge a product shipping cost of 13.00.( so total would be 20.00) very unlikely some one would 2 of these machines..
If they happened to buy machine + tiny items shipping would remain at 20.00
If they bought machine, tiny items plus couple of medium then shipping would be 24.00 and still be pretty reasonable.
Is my logic correct?
