I have just tested a download by signing up for a product using the squeeze form addon. The email sent to me was in plain text, but the email still contained the tags(eg. ) which resulted in the download link being incorrect. See here [http://prntscr.com/3i64bm]
I have changed to HTML email and the link works okay. I am using version 7.0.9 and I don’t know whether it is a problem with this version only as I am using two other versions on two other websites v6.9.8.6 and v7.0.7
As far as I know, the other two websites are working okay.
I have deactivated all plugins on the affected website, but no difference. I have now set all website emails to HTML just in case.
Is it possible to send test emails from the plugin to check formatting and links etc?
Thanks,
Lee.
We don’t have an issue with the HTML or the plain text email formatting in the plugin. The formatting is most likely being affected by the theme. Have you done the theme test on the affected site?

Thank you for your reply. I have found the problem and it was with one of the plugins I use. The plugin is called Preserved HTML Editor Markup which prevents the HTML tags being removed by WordPress when switching between the visual and text screens.
They used to work together fine, but now the plugin seems to add the
tag to the text emails in eStore. I have switched to HTML emails on websites where these two plugins are installed.
Thanks,
Lee.
FYI….I was having a problem with all line-feeds (ie.,Line breaks) getting stripped out of the emails, so the emails were looking like one long (unreadable) line of text.
I am using SendGrid to send my emails and discovered a settings (text/html) in the SendGrid plugin that was causing this. I changed it from html to text and that fixed the problem. I assume I can only send text messages now, but at least its working!
Thank you for the update.
