Ok, I’ve searched but not getting any solutions. I bought both eStore and WP Stamper and planned to use these to sell an ebook. Creating the product page was no problem and when you click on PayPal it goes there fine – HOWEVER. I need to get their email address and name to add to WP Stamper obviously but can’t see how to do this.
I see that I can use collect customer data but can only have the single field.
In the integration guide it says this – “When you make a sale of this eBook product the eStore plugin will communicate with the PDF Stamper plugin and make a copy of the original PDF file then stamp it and send the encrypted download link for the stamped PDF eBook to the customer.”
How does this happen as there is no place for the buyer to enter their name/email address after they click checkout with PayPal?
Thanks Andy
May 23, 2020 at 11:37 pm #80611wzpModeratorAfter the PayPal transaction is completed; an IPN (Instant Payment Notification) is sent by PayPal, back to the eStore plugin. The IPN contains the the PayPal buyer’s name and email address. Once eStore validates the IPN, it passes the IPN information to the PDF Stamper; along with the original file. The PDF Stamper returns a link back to eStore, pointing to the stamped file. This link is then encrypted and provided to the buyer.
The only possible “negative consequence” of how this works, it the information passed to the PDF Stamper is that of the purchaser, not of the intended recipient. So if the eBook is a child’s book, in which the child’s name and email address is stamped throughout the story, that may be an issue.

Just couldn’t understand the process, might be a good idea to include that in the FAQ or videos as I couldn’t see it anywhere, maybe I just missed it!
Cheers and thanks again

Sometimes PayPal can delay the sending of the IPN (payment notification) if their processing system is very busy. Or your hosting provider can add delay to the email that gets sent out. So it is a good idea to put a message on your “Thank You” page that tells them to wait a little bit and then contact you if they don’t get it.
