Tagged: variation shipping
Hi,
My product is available in both a physical and digital version. I’ve set up PayPal shipping for the physical product and it works fine. But it’s charging shipping on orders for the digital version and I can’t figure it out.
The base price is $4.00. I set up these variations:
Print|None|Standard:2
and a digital variation: Electronic|None|PDF
as suggested in the comments on this page for someone in a similar situation:
and those variations work just fine. How do I make it not charge shipping for digital products?
Or do I need to create separate products for the digital and electronic versions?
Thanks!
The product variation cannot determine if shipping needs to be charged or not (the shipping will be charged if the “Item Shipping Cost” field has a value. Its best if you have two different product setup to handle this scenario (one for the physical and one for the digital).
was afraid of that. Thanks for clarifying! saves me hours of fruitless thrashing.
Cheers,
Beth
