selling access to sub-domain with emember

How can we protect or setup a membership level for a sub-domain. For example. domain.com will have emember installed. The user can request or purchase a sub-domain subdomain.domain.com?

Question: if a member “purchases” a subdomain…

1. Who “owns” the subdomain?
2. What exactly do they “get” with the subdomain?
3. Please give us an example of how you envision the setup working.
