A while back I asked about a feature like the one tips and tricks site itself has, where if you have purchased a product, you can generate a link to a new version just by putting in your email and transaction number. You said at that time you were working on it, but I’m not seeing it anywhere. Any chance we’ll be seeing it any time soon?
Hopefully….
Thanks so much only…um…I hate to show how dumb I am but…how do I install the extra shortcode package? I looked in the zip file for a readme file….obviously this is something I should know…sigh…
Yes…that’s where I downloaded it, but how do I install it? Do I just unzip and upload to the eStore folder? Or does it need a separate folder and separate activation? Thanks…
“eStore plugin then download and install the “Extra WP eStore Shortcodes” plugin and you will have access to more shortcodes:”
Nevermind…I finally got it to show up in the plugin page so I could activate it. I deleted and re-FTP’d twice…then it finally showed. I’ve installed a lot of plugins and never had a problem like this. I don’t blame anything about the plugin…just the installation of my blind sandbox site. I’ve just started using it. Going to talk to my host-handler. Thanks!
OK…got it working, but I have a different problem. This would allow anyone who knew someone’s email to download everything they’ve purchased! I was hoping for something which checks the transaction number, the way the one you use on this site does. Is there any way to have it check that as well as the email?
Aren’t the links emailed to the address you provide?
Oh…duh…Sorry…very tired. (That’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it.) I was thinking about the “instant download” return page you get when you actually make a purchase.
Thanks.
