Selective affiliate on per link basis.

I’d like to restrain affiliate functionalities per link – and not for the whole site.

So people would get their affiliate commission only for specific products they would link to, not to others products contained on the site.

Could you tell me if this is possible using your plugin?

You won’t be able to do this with Just the affiliate plugin as it works sitewide but if you are using the Affiliate plugin with WP eStore then you can selectively state which products do not get affiliate commission when configuring the product in eStore.

Yes, I am aware of this solution, but it wouldn’t fit my needs.

I want (almost) all products be take advantage of affiliate marketing, but I want to build a business model in which an affiliate would receive money only for the product he/she recommended directly.

I see what you are trying to do.. This should be doable with some custom tweaking. Basically, when you drop the cookie you also need to store the URL of the landing page with it. This way when the customer goes to make a purchase you can look up and verify if the URL stored in the cookie matches the one the product is being purchased from. If it does then give commission else don’t. This is just a basic skeleton… ofcourse, you will have to make the code robust so if the affiliate sends traffic to multiple pages you store all the URLs of those pages so he can get the commission if people buy from these pages and stuff like that.
