I installed the eMember reCaptcha plugin v1.0.8

It works fine for login

Gives me error after registration – Security check: failed captcha. Please try again!

but still registers the user.

Which captcha option are you using from that addon? What version of emember are you using? Can you please share a link to your member registration page?
