Got a question. Is there a way to provide secure downloads to customers on a specific page? I have updates that I want to provide customers but only to customers and not other members. They get the initial software upon purchase but I want to provide secure updates to them. There a way to do that?

I think this post may be able to help you:
February 14, 2013 at 12:04 am #53817myallenmediaMemberGood info! One question though. Just to confirm, it will send an email to the Paypal email address that they paid with correct and not the eMember register email.
February 14, 2013 at 2:27 pm #53818myallenmediaMemberThere’s a big issue with this solution. It allows people to pass that URL around and continually download it. How can we make that download link just a one time click?
February 14, 2013 at 11:05 pm #53819wpCommerceModeratorHi, the plugin will send an email to the email address that is registered in the “Customer” database (the email address you see in the manage customers menu).
The download link works just like the link that gets sent out via email after the transaction. You can control the number of times it can be downloaded by specifying a value in the “Download Limit Count” field (under eStore->General Settings->Digital Download Delivery Settings section).
February 15, 2013 at 2:21 pm #53820myallenmediaMemberThat is not correct. I have one downloadable product. It limited to 1 download and a 24 hour period. That shortcode sends them the product and that link is clickable many times as well as no expire date for it. So, it doesn’t work.
February 15, 2013 at 3:38 pm #53821wzpModeratorCould you please post this link that refuses to expire? I’d like to make sure the problem with “not expiring” isn’t local to your browser.
Also, to confirm; you have “Duration of Download Link = 24” and “Download Limit Count = 1” in the settings?
February 17, 2013 at 2:52 pm #53822myallenmediaMemberI can’t post it because it’s a live product. The main product link expires and is only one click and that works fine. It’s the shortcode for receiving the product via email that doesn’t work. I use chrome. I have tested under FF, IE, Safari and Chome and that shortcode sends a download link that doesn’t expire and is multiple click.
