"Secure download manager ran into a problem that it couldn’t handle…"

I’ve seen a few threads with this problem, but none that are resolved. I have one file giving me this response:

“The secure download manager ran into a problem that it couldn’t handle, and is unable to process your download request. Please contact the site administrator.

Please tell the site administrator the problem was due to the following reason:

The file (on the server) containing your download couldn’t be opened.”

This happens with Admin-created links, encrypted links sent to customers, and isn’t affected by changing the file. All of the other files seem to be working fine, including the other digital variation of this product.

Are you trying to use digital product variations? Does the problem only occur when using digital variations, and not with single (non-variation) downloads?

Did you hand code the variation string?

The problem occurs when using variations, but only with this one file. I tried generating a code, and that doesn’t work either. Not sure if that’s what you mean by single download? (I don’t sell anything that doesn’t have variations.)

So, if you replace the file path with a different one; there is no problem? Have you tried *****MANUALLY***** erasing, and then retyping the variation string?
